Meet Emmy!
Out of everyone in My Squad, I have known Emmy the longest. We met through dance and stayed friends even after our dance studio closed and I graduated high school. Emmy is a couple of years younger than me. This age gap makes us more like sisters. Maybe that’s why we butted heads many times as we made our way through our teen years. This only made our friendship stronger. She is the only member of My Squad that is from my home base, so if I ever claim to have troops, she is one of my strongest.
“With the age difference that we have, you gave me the ability to have an insight into what the future was going to be like for me and I truly appreciated it.”
– Emmy
When we don’t see each other for several weeks, we step right back into our comfortable groove the next time we hang out. We have learned many things from each other and continue to deepen our friendship as time goes on.
“I learned from Callie that no matter age difference, distance, demographic, etc., you can still find a friend in anyone.”
– Emmy
Like a real sisterhood, now that we both are in our 20s, we appreciate our deep connection more than ever. We call each other out on our bullshit and make sure we keep one another in check. We are real friends keeping it super real.
“We’ve experienced many firsts together, and even more LASTS (and that is no exaggeration). My friendship with Callie is unlike any other.”
– Emmy
When someone is gifted with a friend like Emmy, they shouldn’t take it for granted. I never will. Emmy is and will always be the friend who comes in oh, so chill and stays for all the rest. I couldn’t ask for more!
Emmy, I will always be your CalPal!!
