Meet Carley!
Carley and I met online during the height of the COVID quarantine. We talked on Zoom for hours. All times of the day and night were perfect for these conversations. In 2021, we met in person on a trip to Kansas City. Kansas City is great, by the way. I’ll be posting more on this city. We had the best time together. Our friendship became much stronger after meeting in person. It’s so great when online friends are even better in 3D.
It’s so awesome that Carley also enjoys K-Pop. That’s not why we met, though, which makes it even sweeter. I can fangirl with her. We went to Las Vegas for the BTS concerts together. Carley just makes everything sparklier. We also took a trip, just the two of us, to Disneyland. Isn’t this a great pic? 😂
In Carley’s words:
Our friendship means a lot to me because I think since meeting you it’s crazy how we connected and how many adventures we were able to have together. I also love how when we are on trips together, we just work well with each other. I found someone that also matches how I like to travel. I really never thought I would make an internet friend. I know it can be hit or miss when it comes to internet friends.
“I learned that I can open myself up to amazing new people because if I didn’t push myself to at least try I wouldn’t have met you.”
– Carley
I’m also lucky because we were able to meet more than once. We first met in Kansas City, then we magically met up again in Vegas and had a blast. We also went to Disneyland. I think I learned that I can do a long-distance friendship. Also, I learned that I can open myself up to amazing new people because if I didn’t push myself to at least try I wouldn’t have met you. I also learned from our friendship how much I liked to travel.
It’s hard to find someone that clicks with me when it comes to traveling. Thankfully, Carley is that person. With more trips planned, Carley and I will form an even stronger connection as we explore many different places together. I know this connection will grow, and so does Carley. She recently told me that our friendship has taught her that she can be open and courageous when it comes to making friends. Me, too, Carley! Thank you for being a part of my life. You are the sparkliest person I know.
